Turning off your availability will stop your profile from being made visible to employers for future searches. It will not remove information already received by an employer through an earlier application or contact.

Information requested for optional marketing is voluntary. Refusing marketing will not prevent you from using our core services.
13. CV EXTRACTION, MATCHING, AND AUTOMATED TOOLS
We may use automated or artificial intelligence assisted tools to support parts of the Mum Hours UK service.
These tools may be used to:
a. Extract information from an uploaded CV.
b. Prefill a candidate profile.
c. Structure or categorise information.
d. Classify vacancies.
e. Support job matching.
f. Identify potentially relevant opportunities.
g. Assist with content and administrative processes.
You must review any information automatically extracted from your CV and correct any errors before relying on it.
Automated tools may make mistakes. Their output should not be treated as a guarantee that a candidate is suitable for a job or that a vacancy is suitable for a candidate.
Mum Hours UK does not make final recruitment decisions on behalf of employers.
We do not currently use solely automated decision-making that produces legal effects or similarly significant effects for job seekers.
Employers remain responsible for their own recruitment decisions.
14. HOW CANDIDATE INFORMATION IS SHARED WITH EMPLOYERS
Candidate information may be shared with an employer in the following circumstances.
14.1 Available candidate profiles
When a candidate marks their profile as available for work, authorised employers or recruiters may be able to view relevant profile information and contact the candidate about suitable opportunities.
14.2 Applications submitted through Mum Hours UK
When a candidate submits an application through Mum Hours UK, we may send the application information to the employer that posted the vacancy.
Once the employer receives the application, the employer will normally become an independent data controller responsible for how it uses, stores, and shares that information.
The employer’s own privacy policy or applicant privacy notice may then apply.
14.3 Applications submitted on an external website
Some vacancies may direct candidates to an employer’s own website or another external application platform.
When a candidate leaves Mum Hours UK and submits information directly to another organisation, that organisation is responsible for its use of the information.
Candidates should review the organisation’s privacy policy before submitting an application.
15. ADVERTISERS, PARTNERS, AND COMMUNITY INFORMATION
Mum Hours UK does not sell its job seeker database, CV database, membership list, or email subscriber list to advertisers or partners.
Advertisers and partners will not normally receive personal information about individual community members.
They may receive aggregated or anonymised campaign information, such as:
a. The number of views.
b. The number of link selections.
c. General engagement information.
d. General audience or campaign performance information.
Aggregated or anonymised information does not identify an individual.
Where a campaign involves collecting leads, research participants, applications, or registrations for a partner, we will provide clear information at the point of collection.
We will only share identifiable information with the partner where there is an appropriate lawful basis and the person has been clearly informed.
The partner may become an independent data controller once it receives the information.
16. WHO WE MAY SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION WITH

We do not normally ask job seekers to provide special category personal information, such as information about:

g. Sex life or sexual orientation.
We also do not normally ask for criminal conviction or offence information.
A CV or application may sometimes reveal sensitive information indirectly.
Please avoid including special category or criminal record information unless it is necessary and appropriate for the specific service or application.
Where we intentionally process this type of information, we will identify an appropriate lawful basis and any additional legal condition required.

19.1 Job seekers and subscribers

22.1 Job seeker accounts and profiles
We normally retain account and profile information while the account remains active.
Where an account is closed or has been inactive for an extended period, we may delete or anonymise the information, normally within 24 months, unless we need to keep it for another lawful reason.
22.2 CVs and application information
We may retain CVs, application records, and related information for up to 24 months after the relevant application or account closure.
An employer may retain its own copy under the employer’s privacy and retention policies.
22.3 Employer accounts and job listings
We normally retain employer account information while the account remains active and for up to 24 months after the account or commercial relationship ends.
Expired job listings and associated performance information may be retained for business, reporting, fraud prevention, and legal purposes.
22.4 Partnership enquiries
Where an enquiry does not result in a commercial relationship, we may retain the enquiry and related communications for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
22.5 Advertising campaigns and partnerships
We may retain campaign records, contracts, approvals, communications, assets, and reports for up to six years after the campaign or relationship ends where necessary for contractual, accounting, tax, or legal purposes.
22.6 Payment and financial records
Invoices, payments, refunds, contracts, and related financial information may normally be retained for six years or longer where required by law.
22.7 Marketing information
We retain marketing information until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent, or object.
We may retain limited suppression information for longer so that we can continue to respect your preference.
22.8 Website and security information
